John 15:13
"The greatest love you can have for your friends is to give your life for them."
God is simple. we tend to complicate Him or make Him "out of reach up there" because of our own interpretation that He, is the one who will hit us on the butt whenever we commit sin, He is the one who will abandon His weak and sinful children because of disappointments, and that He is the one who don't listen to us, "stench makers", "unworthy people", "hard-headed or stubborn hopeless sinners".
Well, friends, He may be a disciplinarian, but He's not the type that will scare us out of our souls. HAHAHA. GOD IS SIMPLE. He wears beach walk slippers, He loves bentelog and even tried Mang Inasal, He's an LRT commuter, He plays Candy Crash, He is with us during our late night households and meetings, eats fries. IN A NUT SHELL, HE IS A FRIEND. A LOYAL, COOL, and the most LOVING FRIEND OF ALL, Jesus Christ. A member of our Household, He listens and He forgives. Plain and simple. :D
Do not take this too spiritually. "To lay down one's life" means a readiness to put yourself last in order to serve the other person, instead of putting the other one in second place to serve yourself. It is the readiness to take the needs of your friend more seriously than your own.
TO HAVE A FRIEND, IS TO HAVE ONE OF THE GREATEST BLESSINGS ON EARTH: “FRIEND’s ZONE”.
